Statement of Faith
-
We believe that there is one true God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 12:29
-
We believe that Jesus Christ was both fully man and fully God. We believe he was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and physically rose from the grave after three days. - 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Philippians 2:5-8
-
We believe that Jesus Christ’s death was the atonement for the sins of mankind. Salvation is the free gift of God, by grace alone and through faith alone in the person of Jesus Christ and His work on behalf of mankind. - Romans 3:23-25
-
We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. - Psalm 18:30, 2 Timothy 18:30
-
We believe the local church is pivotal in providing opportunities for evangelism and discipleship in communities, and that it plays a vital role in the spiritual growth of any believer. Additionally, we believe that the church acts as the vehicle to serve those around us as an exercise of our faith and model of Christ on earth. - Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 10:24-25
-
We believe in the Great Commission in which Jesus Christ commands His people to make disciples by preaching the Gospel and submitting in obedience to Christ’s lordship. - Matthew 28:16-20
-
We believe man was created male and female in the image of God, who we were meant to live in relationship with. However, every human has disobeyed God in our thoughts and actions, and we are therefore separated from the perfect communion we had with God, each other, and the world.
